APAAN is a network for alumni of the University of Maryland that affiliate or identify with the Asian Pacific American (APA) community. Some of you may remember APAAN in its former incarnation as APAAC (Asian Pacific American Alumni Club) from 2000-2006.

APAAN is an effort to rejuvenate the Alumni community by creating an informal network of Alumni affiliated with the University of Maryland APA Community. It is the hope and goal that in the near future APAAN will grow to be a strong and far reaching network that will advocate on behalf of the APA student community at Maryland, create networking opportunities for alumni, and become an officially recognized Alumni group of the University of Maryland Alumni Association.

Our Mission:
To support and cultivate the interests of alumni of the University of Maryland who affiliate or identify with the Asian Pacific American (APA) community

Our Objectives:

  • To maintain a network of APA graduates from the University of Maryland, College Park
  • To facilitate the exchange of ideas and information between APA alumni, APA students and the University of Maryland College, Park
  • To encourage academic and professional development opportunities for APA students and Alumni from the University of Maryland, College Park
  • To advocate on behalf of the APA community at the University of Maryland, College Park
