On Saturday April 16th, APAAN participated in the 7th Annual Charity Wiffle-ball Tournament hosted by the Asian American Student Union. Eight teams participated with over 16 APA organizations on campus, including the Gray Phantoms team comprised of UMD alumni from classes of 2006 through 2010. APAAN raised $450 adding to the total of over $4,400 to aid the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief efforts.
As the 4th seeded team, the Gray Phantoms played every game with spirit, sportsmanship and teamwork. Although we did not make it to the semi-finals, every game was a nail-biter to the very end. Pictures from the event will shortly be posted on our website.
